It just wouldn't be summer without the traditional Dolly White Party taking place in Nice!
A highly anticipated event, this outdoor gathering is held in le Petite Marais (an affectionate nod to the gay district of Paris) area of Nice on rue Bonaparte just off of Garibaldi Square.
Everyone is welcome to attend this all inclusive, white party to meet new people and dance on the streets to the beats of numerous DJ's on stage.
This lively event is brought together by the Centre LGBT Cote d'Azur and raises not only funds for the center but also brings awareness by numerous health and rights groups through various stands surrounding the party.
If there are any rules at all, it's basically just to have fun and wear all white! The local bars and restaurants that normally line the streets of the free event will be serving drinks and food from their entrances.
Here is some helpful information about the Dolly Party held on Wednesday, August 14:
The Dolly White Party is back at Place du Pin from 6pm to midnight.
There are four entrances to access the Dolly White Paty: you can enter at: rue Martin-Seytour, rue Boyer, rue Bonaparte (côté rue Cassini) et rue Bonaparte côté rue Emmanuel Philibert. These entries will be filtered and secured.
We advise everyone to arrive at the event without a large backpack nor helmet, cutting object or bottles for easy access, as they will not be allowed in the event.
It's advised to use public transit to get to the event as the streets surrounding the area will be closed to traffic and parking will be hard to find. There will be a toilets: a free toilet (urinal block and toilet blocks) will be available behind the scenes of the event, just look for the signs. Due to volume, businesses usually do not allow people to use their facilities.
Have the best night everyone and a safe, enjoyable time!
